For many years I left to chance the aspect of organizing the cleaning, and not surprisingly, I had many issues. One day I would start cleaning and I realized I didn’t have the product I needed or it was finished. On another day I would start cleaning something and in the middle of the process I realized that how I was doing it was making me waste lot of time compared to how it’s supposed to be. The simplest example: I started cleaning the floors first. Out of habit (we’re creatures of habit, by the way) I started doing floors. Then I found myself having to wait 30 minutes for it to dry a little bit before being able to enter the room and starting cleaning the upholstery but you can do it faster if you do the moping using hot water it will dry faster and I suggest you to put that on your house cleaning checklist.

So it’s vitally important to build a checklist not only of the products you need, but also of how you are going to organize the process in itself because it can make your job simpler with house cleaning checklist.

I found out that when I had planned my cleaning on a weekly basis, I was not only more efficient and fast, but also happier. This is how my brain works, I guess. I am happier when I know the action steps I need to take to get to a result. I do it not only for the day, but for the entire week and sometimes month. I know on Monday what I need to clean that week and when I am going to do it. Of course I am flexible and sometimes something happens and I have to change my plans. However, having it all planned helps me out incredibly, so does to other friend of mine I talked to about this.
